Why I do this thing called photography

I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting lately. Almost two years ago around this time, I had no idea what I was doing with my life. I knew I loved this thing called photography but I never thought I could turn it into a career. Two years later I am finished with my A.S in photography and now I am a full-time student in a photography bachelor program at UCF.

The last few years it seemed like life threw everything at my family. There were moments where I truly believed it couldn’t get any worse.. and then it did. But again and again the Lord was always faithful. We made it through some of the hardest moments.

Photography gave me a new outlook on it all. Instead of forgetting the moments that happened (the good, the bad, and the ugly), I started striving to capture moments that meant more to people then just a nice picture. But showed them an accurate representation on what life was like during that time. That goes for taking photos during worship too. I write this because I want to encourage anyone who is going through a terrible time. Where it doesn’t seem like it’s gonna get better. If it feels like everything is falling apart, remember the Father truly makes every terrible situation into a beautiful thing. It may not seem like it now, but whatever your facing will make you stronger, and you will see the beauty in it.
